Sikaflex 1A Kit - One Component, Flexible, Non Sag, Polyurethane Concrete and Masonry Sealant For Vertical and Horizontal Surfaces

Sikaflex 1A 10oz. Cartridges (12 or 24 Tubes) & the AWF 2000 18:1 PRO Caulk Gun

Sikaflex 1A is a premium grade, high performance, moisture cured, one component, polyurethane based, non sag elastomeric sealant. Sikaflex 1A has excellent adhesion and bonds to most construction materials without a primer. It has durability and resistance to aging and weathering and can be used in green and damp concrete applications. Sikaflex 1A cures to a tough, durable and flexible consistency: +/- 35% movement. Sikaflex 1a is designed for all types of joints where maximum depth of sealant will not exceed 1/2 in. It is ideal for small joints and fillets, windows, door frames, reglets, flashing, common roofing detail applications, and many construction adhesive applications. Sikaflex 1A is also jet fuel resistant and is able to be used in submerged conditions, such as canal and reservoir joints.

Application and Use

Application and Use: Use between 40° and 100°F, in cool weather store at room temperature for 24 hours prior to use. For best performance apply Sikaflex when joint is at mid-point of its expansion and contraction. Apply sealant with steady pressure, forcing the sealant into the joint. Sealant should be applied to both sides of joint, use bond breaker tape to prevent bond at base of joint. If the depth of the joint exceeds 1/2" use of a backer rod is recommended. Tool sealant to ensure full contact with joint walls and remove trapped air. Do not tool with detergent or soap solutions. Tooling results in a correct bead shape, a neat joint and maximum adhesion. Allow 1 week cure when using Sikaflex 1A in total water immersion situations or before painting.
